Weatherbee School Library is full of good reading for students and teachers. We have over 9400 books and other material available for our readers. You can browse our collection by clicking on “Weatherbee Library Catalog” and searching from there. Also be sure to check out our “Library Links” for information available through other online resources.
Weatherbee students have library class on a bi-weekly basis; in library classes they learn research skills and literature appreciation. Students may also visit the library as part of a class research project, or just to check out a book. We encourage kids to stop at the library on their way into the school - it's a great time to change books.
Books are due two weeks after checkout. Books may be renewed, but must be brought in to the library to do this. Overdue notices (blue slips) will be sent home most weeks; Bills for very overdue books will be mailed home three or four times per school year. Please call and talk to the library staff if you have any questions about notices.
Weatherbee parents are welcome to visit the library at the beginning or end of the school day. Come in and browse the shelves; you may check out books to take home.
